A Fiance's Salute
Milford police officer Melissa Piscitelli fights back tears as she salutes the coffin holding the body of her fiancé, Milford K-9 officer Daniel Scott Wasson, as taps is played at graveside. Wasson, 25, was shot and killed on April 12, 1987, during a routine traffic stop. His K-9, General, draped in a black mourning shawl, stands by her side.
