Connecticut State Trooper Kevin Rodino points to a spot he wants his K-9 to search for victims in the rubble of L'Ambiance Plaza, a 16-story apartment building that collapsed during construction on April 23, 1987 in Bridgeport. Although a few survivors were pulled to safety in the days following the collapse, 28 construction workers were killed, one of the worst disasters in modern Connecticut history.
