Early bird shoppers forage for bargains at the Best Buy store at Corbin's Corner just after the doors opened at 5:00 a.m. on Black Friday in 2006. Among the hot sellers were deeply discounted flat-screen high definition TVs and laptop computers, some reduced by 40-50%. The early bird prices were good from 5:00 a.m. until noon. An estimated 3,000 shoppers were lined up on three sides of the building, according to West Hartford police at the scene, when the doors opened.
